Only God is constant

Psalm 33:12-22 (NCV)
12 Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his very own. 13 The Lord looks down from heaven and sees every person. 14 From his throne he watches all who live on earth. 15 He made their hearts and understands everything they do. 16 No king is saved by his great army. No warrior escapes by his great strength. 17 Horses can't bring victory; they can't save by their strength. 18 But the Lord looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love. 19 He saves them from death and spares their lives in times of hunger. 20 So our hope is in the Lord. He is our help, our shield to protect us. 21 We rejoice in him, because we trust his holy name. 22 Lord, show your love to us as we put our hope in you. David's song from the time he acted crazy so Abimelech would send him away, and David did leave.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. 13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. 14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. 16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. 17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.


nation = a people sharing culture, beliefs, etc. Not necessarily the same government.
He knows my heart, as no one on earth. Better than I know myself. Nothing can keep me from his knowledge. No power on earth can do as He does, know as He knows. This is what it is to fear God. to respect that only the Lord has true power and to trust that He will be faithful.

One day every knee will bow.
Please Father, make me faithful too.
